Hello, today our 2 full day in Lusaka and I don't know where to begin,, first of all I would like to give thanks to our Heavenly Father, for allowing us and for using us to share His love with the Zambian people. We started out well rested and well fed. Our first task was to seperate all the croc shoes we brought, along with the shirts and everything else that we will share with the children. We were busy working when, we had to stop for,, ,,get this,,, TEA TIME,, since this was a British colony, they still practice British ways. So we took our tea time and just relaxed. Next came the guys from the group and we went out to exchange our dollars for the local currency, the kwatcha,, 5000 kwatchas for a dollar. Then we came back to eat lunch. After lunch, we went out to the local village,, Kalingalinga, this is where the guys from the group grew up. Pastor Mumba led the group in prayer walk in the village. Walking around the neighborhood was an experience that I will treasure, all the children were outside playing around and all the adults were inside watching the Zambian national soccer team play a world cup qualifier against Ghana,, which Zambia won, then they were yelling and screaming in the streets. We were able to give away a soccer ball to the children and they were all excited.. During the prayer walk, Ben and I were walking around with Sylvester, when we came upon a church that was made out of wooden planks,, Shady Oaks Baptist Church. Inside were 6 ladies singing and praising the Lord, Sylvester knew them and they invited us inside. Once inside the started to sing and dance, so we joined in,, that was a blessing. Later on were we met up with Tara and Lillian at her house,, her brother sylvester brought the house for her and her family, it is under construction, but they still live in it. We met up with the rest of the group and headed for diner. After we had pizza for diner,,good by the way,, we
went and spent some time in devotional,,, sharing stories about what this day meant for us and how the Lord is working in us during this trip. It was a fun time recounting our experiences. I can not tell you how much this trip means to all of us,, we are so grateful and full praises. It has been so much fun and it is only our second day. Tomorrow we will head to church service and then continue the task at hand. We pray that the Lord keep us through the night and that He wakes us up full of energy to do what He has called us to do. Good night and enjoy the pictures.
