Good evening and hope you had a beautiful day. For us here we had another great day. We met for breakfast and to plan for the day ahead. After arriving at the school, we all went into our groups and began having fun with the children. Our group, Tara, Hanah, Charlene, Richard and myself, went and made bracelets with the 7th grade class. This class did not make the bracelets on Tuesday and they were asking why and the reason was, that we ran out of time, but thank God we were able to make them today. While making the bracelets we were teaching them a bible verse, which many of them knew We just spent quality time with them. The other groups were with their classes and just having fun. Then the painting started. Two classes were moved to other classrooms and we just began to move desks and to paint the walls. It seemed like everyone had either a paintbrush in their hands or a paint-roller, even Angel our bus driver got involved as well as a teacher. The love just spreads and everyone wants to be a part of something special. God is Great. We were able to put on 1 coat of paint in the 2 classrooms before lunch. We came back to the learning center, got a quick bite to eat and then Christina and the ladies went to a Women Conference. The men went back to the school and put on another coat of paint. The chalk boards were mounted by Richard and Webster who had hired a man with the drills needed for concrete walls. What a difference painting and lighting makes, it seems that they got 2 new rooms in the building. I am sure the new chalk boards will be a hit with the teachers. I cannot wait to see their faces tomorrow morning when the get in to school and see that the classrooms were made over, I'm sure the children will enjoy it as well. The work will continue, we have 3 classrooms left and we pray that we have enough time to finish painting them and mounting the chalk boards that are badly needed. We got back to the learning center ate and got much needed rest. The time spent at the school is emotionally draining as well as physically, but God will supply us with all the strength needed to continue the task at hand. I pray for all the children and for us all. Good night and enjoy the pictures on facebook.
